Introductory indeed!

This Cambridge introduction to Garcia Marquez, a major writer, is slightly disappointing: it mixes biographical information with literary analysis and it is not clear that it is successful in either endeavor. One does learn something about Garcia Marquez and about what his books are about, but the literary analysis is extremely superficial, and the biographical stuff is limited to main events...
