Great for residents!

I dont usually Awrite reviews on Amazon.. but i feel every resident should know abt this book..
For a pediatrics residents, this book is simply 'A MUST'!
When i first got the book, my intention was to help me mostly in the ER kind of work.. bt no! it has almost everything i need for ER/Clinic/Inpatient/and even PICU patients!!
i dont know how they all the needed info in a relatively small book..
but for every patient i have, i would find practically everything i need (including orders/workup, the meds with doses and f/u!!) wrapped in one place...
I have to say that initially my colleagues didnt like its layout (little dry), a lot of them now have their own copies! :)
Bottom line: IF YOU ARE A PEDIATRIC RESIDENT, JUST GET IT!! u'll never regret it!

There are better books out there

I bought this book because a physician recommended it to me during my rotation in emergency pediatrics. I read maybe 5 pages of it. While the information presented was relevant, reading this was a pain. The font was too tiny, paragraphs were too long, and I quickly lost interest. I give this book 3 stars because it is a great reference book with up to date treatments for commonly seen emergencies in the peds ED.

Comprehensive!!

I recently has to see more children and bought this book to review. It was well worth the reading - concise and fairly up to date. I enjoy reading it. I do recommend it for pediatric residents.
